Apollo Group TV FAQ

Everything people ask before and after subscribing — pricing, devices, activation, playback and refunds. If your question isn't here, support answers in under five minutes.

Getting started

What exactly is Apollo Group TV?

A subscription streaming service that gives you 55,000+ live TV channels and 170,000+ on-demand movies and shows from 45+ countries, delivered over your internet connection to whatever device you already own. There's no box to rent, no installer visit and no contract.

How much does it cost?

$19 for one month, $39 for three, $69 for six and $99 for twelve — the annual plan works out at $8.25/month. Every plan carries the identical lineup; the only thing that changes is the per-month rate you lock in. See all plans →

Is there a free trial?

We run a 30-day money-back guarantee instead. Free trials attract throwaway accounts that degrade stream quality for paying subscribers, which is exactly what we're trying to avoid. Subscribe, test it properly for a week, and if it's not for you, email support — we refund without asking for a reason.

How fast is activation after I pay?

Lightning crypto activates in under a minute. Card payments take 5–15 minutes. On-chain Bitcoin needs one network confirmation, typically 10–30 minutes. Your username, password, M3U URL and downloader code arrive by email the moment payment clears.

Do I need any special equipment?

No. If you own a Firestick, an Android TV box, a Samsung or LG Smart TV, an iPhone, an iPad or just a laptop, you're already equipped. All you need on top is an 8 Mbps connection for HD or 15 Mbps for 4K.

Devices & installation

What devices does it work on?

Amazon Firestick and Fire TV, Android TV and Google TV, Samsung and LG Smart TVs, iPhone and iPad, Apple TV, Roku via screen mirroring, NVIDIA Shield, Mi Box, Chromecast with Google TV, MAG/Formuler/Enigma2 boxes, and Windows, macOS or Linux through VLC. Install guides →

What is the downloader code?

A short numeric code you type into the Downloader app on a Firestick or Android TV box. It points the app at the right installer file so you don't have to type a long URL on a TV remote. It arrives in your welcome email and is unique to your account.

How do I install on Firestick?

Enable "Install unknown apps" for Downloader in Developer Options, install Downloader from the Amazon Appstore, enter your code, install the APK and sign in. It takes about five minutes. Full Firestick guide →

Can I use it on more than one device?

Yes — 5 simultaneous streams per account, each with its own profile and continue-watching list. You can install the app on as many devices as you like; the limit is on how many play at the same moment, not how many are set up.

How do I log in?

Open the app and enter the username and password from your welcome email, leaving the server field exactly as it comes pre-filled. Both fields are case-sensitive — a trailing space picked up from copy-paste is the most common cause of a failed login.

Playback & quality

Will it buffer or freeze?

Our restream layer runs redundant sources per channel and fails over in roughly 600ms when an upstream feed dies — you see a brief flash rather than a 30-second stall. That said, no service beats your own connection: below 5 Mbps you'll buffer regardless of provider.

What internet speed do I actually need?

8 Mbps for stable HD on one device. 15 Mbps for 4K. 25 Mbps if other people in the house are streaming at the same time. Measure at the device, not at the router — a Firestick's Wi-Fi is far weaker than your phone's.

Is everything really in 4K?

No, and anyone claiming otherwise is overselling. Around 500+ channels are carried natively in 4K, along with a large share of the VOD library. Everything else is HD, because that's how the broadcaster transmits it. We don't upscale and call it 4K.

The picture is fine but the audio is out of sync

Player settings → audio sync, offset by ±200ms. It's nearly always an HDMI handshake issue between your TV and soundbar rather than the stream. If the offset doesn't resolve it, try a different audio track on the same channel.

Why is the EPG empty when I first open the app?

The guide downloads in the background on first launch — usually fully populated within 5–10 minutes. Channels play normally during that window. Force-closing and reopening the app doesn't speed it up.

Can I use a VPN?

Yes, and many subscribers do where an ISP throttles streaming. The app doesn't fight VPNs. One caveat: some broadcasters geo-restrict, so an exit node in a country we don't carry rights for can hide certain channels.

Billing & refunds

How do I pay?

Card through our payment processor (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay), Cash App or Venmo in the US, or crypto — Bitcoin on-chain, Bitcoin over Lightning, Litecoin, USDT and USDC. Payment details →

Does my subscription auto-renew?

No. Every plan is a one-time payment. You get a reminder email 7 days before expiry and another on the day, each with a renewal link. Do nothing and the service simply ends — there's no stored card to charge.

How does the 30-day refund work?

Email support or open a chat within 30 days of activation. We don't ask for a reason. Refunds typically land back on your card in 5–10 business days. After day 30 we still refund on service-side issues, but regret after the fact isn't covered — that's what the window is for. Full policy →

Can I upgrade mid-term?

Yes. Upgrading applies a prorated credit toward the longer plan immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current term; we don't refund the difference for a downgrade in flight.

What shows up on my bank statement?

The name of the payment processor, not ours. Card transactions are handled by a licensed third-party processor — your statement reflects them, which is also why no card details ever reach our servers.

Service & support

Is the service down right now?

The status indicator in the footer of every page reflects our live monitoring. If it shows anything other than operational, there's an incident in progress and support will have details. A single channel failing is not an outage — report it and it gets requeued, usually the same day.

What if a channel disappears?

Tell support. The lineup shifts as broadcast carriers change deals — we normally replace a lost channel within a week or two. If one you specifically subscribed for is permanently gone and can't be replaced, you get a prorated refund.

How do I reach support?

Live chat during business hours with a median first response under five minutes, or a ticket any time of day or night. Contact support →

Do I lose my home channels when I travel?

No. The lineup follows the account, not the IP address. Switch the in-app region at any time and both regions' channel packs stay available to you.

Is Apollo Group TV legal?

We operate as a streaming software and media-service provider. We don't host, store or transmit copyrighted media on our own servers, and we're not affiliated with any broadcaster or studio. Broadcast and licensing law varies by country, so subscribers are responsible for their own compliance with local regulations. See our terms and DMCA policy for the detail.

Still have a question?

Ask before you subscribe — we'd rather turn a sale away than have you refund on day three. Support answers in under five minutes during business hours.
